Whatcom Young Professionals is excited to host our annual fundraiser on Thursday, September 5th, from 5:30-8:00pm at Fishermen’s Pavilion. This groovy event will feature food trucks, local beer, raffles, family-friendly activities, a dance party and more, with proceeds benefitting the Max Higbee Center!

General Admission tickets are just $20 until August 29th. After that date, the price will increase to $25. Whatcom YP Members can purchase their tickets for a flat rate of $20. All tickets include one drink voucher. 

Guests attending on behalf of Max Higbee can attend free of charge, thanks to our generous sponsors (pre-registration still required). 

About the Max Higbee Center 

Since 1984, Max Higbee Center (a 501c3 nonprofit) has supported and empowered teens and adults with developmental disabilities to build community, friendships, happiness, life  skills and health through recreation. MHC relies on donations to keep their programs financially accessible to all community members, and we hope you’ll be excited to support this fundraiser by becoming a sponsor or donating a raffle item!

Event Accessibility Info:  

  • This event is located on flat ground at Fishermen's Pavilion near Zuanich Park 

  • The event will have indoor and outdoor components 

  • Wheelchair accessible parking is available in the Fishermen's Pavilion lot (and all marina parking is free!). 

  • This location is not serviced by a WTA bus route 

  • A restroom trailer is available for use, as well as ADA portable toilets; accessible public restrooms at the Squalicum Boathouse will also be open just a short walk away 

  • Masks are optional 

  • DJ music will be playing 7pm-8pm for a dance party and may be loud! 

  • There will be places to sit down for the duration of the event
